Private safari
6-Day Kilimanjaro Climb · Rongai Route
The quiet northern ascent near the Kenyan border, descending the historic Marangu trail.
What this journey holds.
Rongai is Kilimanjaro's quietest and most remote approach, beginning on the northern flank near the Kenyan border. Drier conditions, open heathland and long views across the Kenyan plains give it a completely different atmosphere from the busier southern routes. You ascend the wild north and descend the lush Marangu side, experiencing two faces of the mountain in one expedition.
